Battenkill Community Services provides compassionate person-centered services for Adults, Teens and Children with Autism, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Our Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, Respite and Housing Subsidy services are offered throughout Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, Warren, Washington and Rensselaer Counties.

It with a an extremely heavy heart that we are writing to share we received news this morning that Kyrstyn Pelletier died yesterday, May 21st.
She will be deeply missed. Her smiles, her hugs and our memories of all that we have shared over the years will be cherished. She was one of the first participants at BCS.
We will share details of any services with you as we receive this information.

We offer a nurturing and inclusive environment to support opportunities to engage in our community every day. Guided by our caring staff, we offer daily choices from which to learn and grow, foster interests, and achieve individual goals. This service, which includes transportation, is provided Monday through Friday.

We offer one on one and group services (up to 4 individuals) 6 days per week, both in the community and/or the individual's home that are centered on facilitating and promoting independence (up to 10 hours per day). Our focus is to provide oversight and supervision of activities and skill development and to support person-centered goals. This program can also facilitate a continuum of services and supports received from Group Day Habilitation.

Caring for a loved one with a disability is a full-time commitment—and everyone needs a break sometimes. Respite services offer families and caregivers temporary relief while ensuring their loved one continues to receive safe, engaging, and compassionate support. Respite gives families peace of mind and gives individuals the opportunity to build new connections and enjoy meaningful time in a supportive setting.

Where do we support?
BCS supports in upstate New York in Washington, Warren, Schenectady, Saratoga and Albany county. Our program provides transportation to and from program every day.
But that’s not all, we’ve travelled far and wide! BCS Vacation Club has allowed our clients to travel to local excursions in New York, or as far out as Las Vegas, Nevada!
